    http://www.mantleoftheexpert.com/

This website is devoted to Dorothy Heatcote and her concept of "Mantle of the Expert".  It is filled with helpful information that explains what this strategy looks like in a classroom setting, as well as scholarly resources on how to implement it for your needs.  There is an extensive video archive with clips of Dorothy using the strategy while working with classes around the world, including clips of the famous documentary Three Looms Waiting.  There are also detailed testimonials from teachers who have used MoE in their classrooms reflecting on what the experience taught their students.  This is a great resource for teachers of all levels.

Book your school for Opera Atelier’s Making of an Opera program for 2010/11! Opera Atelier provides a unique opportunity for students to experience what goes into staging/producing a Baroque opera.

The Making of an Opera program brings students together with OA’s creative team to learn about all the components that make up an operatic performance. From the music, costuming, set design, dancing and dramatic technique, students participate in an interactive workshop to understand how Opera Atelier produces a Baroque opera and how all aspects of the arts are involved. Teachers and students walk away with newfound appreciation for ballet and opera from the 17th and 18th centuries.
